Cosmic Bliss

Cell Seventy-One carries the vibration of Ananda at its most expansive: not the personal bliss of one who has attained something, but the cosmic bliss of a universe that is, in its very nature, joyful. The Upanishadic understanding is that Ananda is not a quality the universe has — it is a quality the universe is. And the human being who has moved through the Lila's entire journey to arrive here has discovered, in their own direct experience, that they are made of the same substance.

This is the difference between Bliss Gate (Cell Sixty-One) and Cosmic Bliss: the first is the personal discovery that joy is available without cause. The second is the recognition that joy is not something you find in your experience — it is what your experience is made of, from the inside, when the overlay of suffering and resistance has been released.

The ancient teachers described this as sahaja — the natural state, the effortless ease of a consciousness that has returned to its original nature. Not achievement. Not attainment. Simply the return to what was always already the case, beneath everything that temporarily obscured it.

Landing at Cell Seventy-One, one step from the completion of the game, is a recognition: the journey is almost done. And what you have found is that what you were seeking was never elsewhere.
