Cosmic Consciousness

Cell Seventy-Two is the end of the Lila board and the beginning of everything. Cosmic Consciousness — the state the Vedanta calls Turiya (the fourth), beyond waking, dreaming, and deep sleep — is the destination the entire game has been pointing toward. And yet arriving here, the soul discovers that the journey was never really about arriving. It was about the transformation that happened in the moving.

The cosmos becoming aware of itself — this is the Lila's final teaching about who you are. Not a small self navigating a large universe, but the universe navigating itself through the instrument of your particular consciousness. Every cell on the board — every fear, every grace, every snake, every ladder — was the cosmos exploring one more facet of its own inexhaustible nature.

You are not separate from this. You never were. The apparent separateness — the journey from Cell One to Cell Seventy-Two — was the divine play, Lila, the game the infinite plays in order to know itself from the inside. And now, having reached this cell, you know something that cannot be taken away: the game itself is sacred, from beginning to end, including the snakes.

The practical wisdom of Cell Seventy-Two is this: the game begins again. New journey, new questions, new opportunities to practise what has been discovered. The Cosmic Consciousness is not a place you stay — it is a quality you carry into everything that follows.

I am the cosmos knowing itself, and knowing itself, it finds only love.
