What does dreaming of Flying mean?
Flying in dreams often arrives as a sudden expansion: the dreamer realises they can rise, and the body of the dream changes its rules. Jung tended to read such images as expressions of an inner movement toward perspective — the psyche's way of showing that the dreamer is no longer entirely contained by the situation they have been inside. When the flight is uncertain or the dreamer cannot stay aloft, the image rarely scolds them for ambition. In dream language this may point to a new vantage point that is still being practised, not yet fully owned. Paying attention to what is visible from above, rather than to the mechanics of flight, often reveals the insight the dream is offering.
