What does dreaming of Wolf mean?
The wolf in dreams sits very close to what Jung called the instinctual core. It is not a tame creature, and the dream rarely tries to make it one. A wolf that appears in the night-image often marks the moment when something fierce, hungry, or honest in the dreamer is asking to be acknowledged rather than disciplined. When the wolf threatens, the dream is rarely warning about an outer aggressor. In dream language this may point to vitality the dreamer has had to suppress in order to stay agreeable, and which is now appearing in the form most likely to be noticed. Meeting the wolf's gaze inside the dream, rather than fleeing it, often allows the energy it carries to return to the dreamer in a usable form.
