What does dreaming of Demon mean?
A demonic figure in dreams is rarely what it first appears to be. Jung was deeply attentive to how the psyche borrows the most alarming forms available to make sure the dreamer cannot overlook what is being presented. The demon in a dream is almost always a part of the dreamer's own energy — fierce, disowned, or long refused — wearing the face of something threatening in order to demand acknowledgement. What the figure wants, or what it seems to embody, usually points to the shadow content being presented. Rage, desire, cruelty, or greed appearing in demonic form may suggest capacities the dreamer has had to suppress in order to remain acceptable. Facing the figure inside the dream, even in imagination, often allows the energy it represents to return to the dreamer in a form that is actually usable rather than threatening.
